On March 12, from 11:00 to 14:00, the Chamber of Commerce of Zamora (C. Pelayo, 6) will host the workshop “Blockchain, Generative AI and Smart Contracts in Data Spaces”, an on-site session designed to understand how emerging technologies are redefining data management, analysis, and governance in business and organizational environments.

During the session, we will explore the new paradigm based on trust, intelligence, and secure collaboration, analyzing how we have moved from working with isolated data to building true intelligent data ecosystems. The specific role of each technology will be examined: blockchain as a layer of trust and record-keeping, smart contracts as a mechanism for secure automation, and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) as a driver for analysis, recommendations, and decision-making support.

The workshop will also delve into how these technologies can be integrated into a coherent architecture: data remains within secure data spaces, blockchain records and ensures traceability, GenAI analyzes and provides recommendations, and smart contracts automatically execute agreements and processes. Key aspects such as GenAI risks and limitations, legal responsibility, smart contract security, data governance, and energy impact will also be addressed.

The session will be delivered by Jesús Ángel Román Gallego, professor at the School of Engineering of Zamora (University of Salamanca), and is aimed at professionals, technicians, entrepreneurs, and anyone interested in understanding how to apply these technologies in a practical way within business environments and data spaces. No prior knowledge is required—just an interest in innovation and the digital future.
